Join Leidos Defense Systems as a Configuration Management Analyst

Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Junior Configuration Management Analyst to join our diverse team in Huntsville, AL, delivering unique solutions for complex defense, space, cyber, and commercial challenges. Work on-site 4+ days a week in a collaborative environment with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and CM teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and data from internal projects or customers.
• Act as Data Manager, reviewing and delivering CDRLs, SDRLs, item records, change records in PLM systems.
• Support production of CSA reports, audit reports, and custom data outputs.
• Track product design changes and their system-wide effects throughout the lifecycle.
• Work independently on moderately complex projects in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary setting.

Basic Qualifications

• 4-year degree in relevant field + 2-4 years experience (or 6-8 years without degree).
• North Alabama resident or willing to relocate to Huntsville.
• Working knowledge of configuration change management, PLM tools (Agile, Windchill, Teamcenter, etc.), BOMs, technical docs, drawings.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio plus), Adobe PDF editing.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, excellent communication, collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Basic knowledge of CAD (CREO, Solidworks) and PDM systems (Windchill, Solidworks PDM).
