Your Role in Digital Modernization

Join the NISC IV program as a Construction Project Engineer in Anchorage, AK, supporting Flight Service Stations and facility projects statewide. Coordinate plant and facility design, planning, and construction, including refurbishments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and oversee new/expanded facilities across Alaska.
  • Prepare engineering designs, cost estimates, studies, plans, specs, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Recommend design procedures and standards.
  • Manage design, costs, construction, compliance, and inspections.
  • Lead planning/review meetings across project phases.
  • Provide engineering consulting services.

Work Environment

Onsite in Anchorage, AK, with up to 25% travel. Telework eligible 1-2 days later with approval. Program budget: $100,000-$110,000 based on experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's +4 years OR Master's +2 years relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • Project Management and Construction Engineering experience.
  • Eligible for Public Trust clearance (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, 3/5 years U.S. residency).

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Arctic Engineering.
