CSSP Team Lead - Lead Elite Cybersecurity Operations at Leidos

Join Leidos as a CSSP Team Lead, delivering mission-critical 24x7 cybersecurity monitoring for Department of Defense networks. Based in Whitehall, OH (with options at Scott AFB, IL or Hill AFB, UT), this leadership role starts March 2026. Guide your team through cyber threat intelligence, actionable event correlation, raw packet analysis, and high-stakes incident response. Drive team development while ensuring seamless communication with operational leadership and USCYBERCOM.

Primary Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity Monitoring & Analysis: Investigate endpoint alerts, IDS/IPS, NetFlow, and sensor data to detect network compromises. Analyze logs, pivot datasets, triage threats, and produce detailed technical reports. Monitor DoD/OSINT feeds for IOCs, integrate into SIEMs, and report incidents promptly.
• Team Leadership & Development: Conduct employee engagement, collaborate on training/performance management, and maintain transparent communication with leadership/HR. Enforce policies and directives consistently.

Basic Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligible)
• Bachelor's + 8+ years or equivalent military experience
• DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+, SSCP, GSEC); CSSP-A within 180 days
• Expertise in networking, packet analysis, OSI model, defense-in-depth
• Proven team player with shift flexibility and commutable/relocatable to site

Preferred Qualifications

• DISA/DoD network experience
• SIEM mastery (Splunk, ArcSight, etc.)
• Malware analysis, advanced certs (GCIA, GCIH, CASP+)
• 2+ years leading cybersecurity teams; Cyber Kill Chain application
