Join Leidos as a Custodian in Sacramento, CA

Leidos is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in our high-security facility. This full-time role demands precision, reliability, and a commitment to excellence in a mission-critical setting. With required TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance, you'll support operations where every detail matters.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors to the highest hygiene standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors across assigned areas for a pristine appearance.
• Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed to uphold facility standards.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in a sanitary, compliant manner.
• Replenish essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for meetings and special events.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all areas meet cleanliness and hygiene benchmarks consistently.

Basic Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in facilities management or related field.
• Working knowledge of basic building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Ability to perform inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication for team, vendor, and contractor interactions.
• Ability to work independently or under moderate supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field.
• 3+ years in facilities coordination or vendor management.
• Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD, or CAFM software.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation and budgeting.
• Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency practices.
• Relevant certifications (FMP, OSHA, LEED, HVAC).
