Join Leidos as Cyber Action Officer in Odenton, MD

Leidos seeks a dynamic Cyber Action Officer for the DISA GSM-O II program at DISA Headquarters, Fort Meade, MD. Support the TN13 Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Branch, providing leadership in cyber defense for DoD networks and Combatant Commands. Engage proactively with customers and partners to deliver mission-critical results.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor DoD, Intelligence Community, and open-source reports for vulnerabilities, malware, and threats impacting DoDIN.
• Act as primary point of contact for cyber security tasks: planning, coordination, implementation, validation, mitigation, and compliance.
• Prepare and present briefings to senior leadership on cyber status and activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting functionality or performance.
• Draft and staff orders, managing inquiries, compliance, and communications post-release.
• Ensure mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP) support.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 8 years relevant experience (or equivalent experience).
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+ CE); CSSP-A within 180 days.
• Strong CND knowledge in protect, detect, respond, sustain.
• Expertise in TCP/IP, networking ports/protocols, traffic flow, system admin, OSI model, defense-in-depth.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Self-starter with exceptional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• DISA/DoD network experience.
• SES/GO/FO briefing experience.
• POA&M management expertise.
• Advanced IT security: vulnerability, incident, threat management.
• GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP, CASP certifications.
• Intelligence-driven defense/Cyber Kill Chain knowledge.
