Join Leidos as a Cyber Network Defense Analyst

We're seeking a Cyber Network Defense Analyst (CNDA) for our high-visibility cybersecurity IDIQ vehicle supporting the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This U.S. Government program monitors, detects, analyzes, mitigates, and responds to cyber threats across the enterprise, including Trusted Internet Connections (TIC) and Policy Enforcement Points (PEP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on incident response: detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and remediation.
  • Mentor peers, ensure shift accountability, and capture metrics for executive briefings.
  • Analyze logs, investigate alerts, and document NOSC investigations/SENs.
  • Coordinate device remediation and maintain continuity during emergencies.

Shift Details

Provide 24x7 support across 12-hour shifts: front half (Sun-Tue + alt Wed) or back half (Thu-Sat + alt Wed), days/nights. Non-core hours required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and US Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor's + 0-2 years SOC experience (or equivalent).
  • Deep knowledge of SOC/NOSC roles, network protocols, topologies, and tools like Wireshark.

  • Expertise in network topologies and security devices (Firewall, IDS/IPS, Proxy, DNS) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and remediation as Incident Response team member
  • Guide and mentor peers/subordinates for cross-training
  • Ensure accountability and punctuality of shift analysts
  • Capture cybersecurity metrics for executive briefings
  • Analyze web/host logs for compromises and articulate challenges to Government Watch Officer
  • Remediate compromised devices and compile incident reports
  • Document processes/workflows and perform firewall rule changes post-training
  • Maintain shift continuity during emergencies
