Join Leidos as a Cyber Network Defense Analyst (CNDA)

Leidos is hiring a Cyber Network Defense Analyst for our high-visibility cyber security IDIQ vehicle supporting the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This U.S. Government program monitors, detects, analyzes, mitigates, and responds to cyber threats across the enterprise, including Trusted Internet Connections (TIC) and Policy Enforcement Points (PEP). Coordinate with Component SOCs via shared incident tracking systems for 24x7x365 threat response.

Shift Details and Work Environment

Provide 24x7 support across four rotating shifts: front-half (Sunday-Tuesday + alternating Wednesday) and back-half (Thursday-Saturday + alternating Wednesday), all 12-hour day/night rotations. Flexibility for non-core hours required. Thrive in a fast-paced environment where we outthink, outbuild, and outpace the status quo.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead incident response: detection, analysis, containment, eradication, remediation.
  • Mentor analysts and ensure shift accountability.
  • Analyze logs, inspect traffic anomalies, hunt threats proactively.
  • Remediate compromised devices and perform firewall changes post-training.
  • Compile reports, metrics for executive briefings, and update processes.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance (TS considered; active preferred) and U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's + 2-4 years SOC/NOSC experience (or equivalent).
  • Sec+, CEH, CySA+, or SANS cert; expertise in Wireshark, protocols, network devices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and remediation as Incident Response team member
  • Guide and mentor peers/subordinates for cross-training
  • Ensure accountability and punctuality of shift analysts
  • Capture cybersecurity metrics for executive briefings
  • Analyze web/host logs for indications of compromise and remediate infected devices
  • Articulate daily challenges to Government Watch Officer
  • Compile incident reports, executive summaries, and analysis reports
  • Document processes, workflows, and technical guides
  • Perform simple firewall rule changes post-training
  • Ensure shift continuity during call-outs/emergencies
