Leidos seeks a Data Engineer to lead data discovery and classification for U.S. Special Operations Command's Zero Trust initiative. Illuminate petabytes of 'dark data' across NIPR cloud lakes, SIPR legacy shares, and isolated TS storage. Architect the Global Data Inventory—a real-time map of CUI and classified intelligence—to empower precision security controls.
Core Mission: Total Data Visibility
Deploy BigID and NetApp BlueXP across hybrid environments. Configure dockerized scanners for air-gapped TS networks. Connect to SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL for schema-level PII detection. Crawl NetApp NAS, QNAP, SharePoint without mission-impacting latency. Integrate AWS S3, Azure Blobs via Microsoft Purview. Tune ML classifiers for USSOCOM ops codes, slashing false positives.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- BS in technical field + 3-10 years experience
- CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570 IAT II)
Preferred Expertise
- Microsoft Purview, Regex patterns, ETL pipelines
- CKA, Azure Data Engineer, BigID certs
- USSOCOM network familiarity

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) preferred (experience)
- Azure Data Engineer Associate or BigID Certified Professional preferred (experience)
Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage BigID and NetApp BlueXP scanners across hybrid NIPR/SIPR/TS environments
- Configure dockerized collectors for air-gapped Top-Secret network discovery
- Map structured data in SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL for PII and sensitive indicators
- Crawl unstructured data in NetApp NAS, QNAP, SharePoint with performance throttling
- Integrate cloud data from AWS S3, Azure Blobs, Data Lakes via Purview connectors
- Train ML classifiers for USSOCOM-specific data types to minimize false positives
