Leidos seeks a skilled Data Protection Engineer for the Network Execution Team supporting USSOCOM's Zero Trust initiative. Be the hands-on expert implementing data-centric security in hybrid environments from NIPR cloud to SIPR/Top Secret networks. Translate architecture into enforceable policies using Microsoft Purview and DRM like Virtru or Kiteworks, shifting from audit to block posture with persistent file protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels, Auto-labeling, and DLP for CUI/PII protection in M365 E5 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange).
- Configure Virtru/Kiteworks DRM for encryption and attribute-based access on classified networks.
- Tune policies, analyze false positives, and optimize classifiers (Regex, Keywords, Trainable).
- Integrate with Trellix endpoint DLP for tag enforcement.
- Manage sneaker-net transfers for air-gapped consistency.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- BS in technical field.
- 3+ years MIP/DLP in DoD/enterprise.
- DRM experience (Virtru/Kiteworks).
- Security+ CE.
Preferred Skills
- Trellix DLP, NetApp BlueXP, BigID.
- USSOCOM/SIPR/JWICS experience.
- SC-400, Virtru/Kiteworks certs.

- 3+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Sensitivity Labels, and DLP in enterprise/DoD (experience)
- Proven experience with Virtru, Kiteworks, or Seclore in hybrid configs (experience)
- CompTIA Security+ CE or higher (DoD 8570 IAT Level II) (experience)
- Microsoft Information Protection Administrator (SC-400) preferred (experience)
- Virtru Certified Professional or Kiteworks Administrator preferred (experience)
Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels, Auto-labeling, and DLP rules for CUI/PII in SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange (NIPR)
- Implement and manage Virtru or Kiteworks DRM for encryption-at-rest and access control on SIPR/Top Secret networks
- Tune security policies from Monitoring to Blocking mode, minimizing false positives with Regex, Keyword Dictionaries, Trainable Classifiers
- Collaborate with Trellix team for endpoint DLP agent enforcement of data tags
- Support cross-domain sneaker-net transfers for air-gapped Top Secret config consistency
