Lead Data Science Innovation at Leidos FP&A
Leidos seeks a dynamic Data Science Manager to lead the Financial Insights & AI Solutions team within Corporate FP&A in Reston, VA. Drive advanced analytical models and AI solutions across Finance & Business Operations, collaborating with domain experts to deliver measurable value aligned with the F&BO Roadmap.
Primary Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Manage team goal setting, performance, coaching, and career development; foster inclusive high-performance culture; identify skill gaps for training.
- Model Development: Oversee predictive models for mission-critical apps in Decision Intelligence, Predictive Analysis, and Operations Automation; stay current on AI/ML advances.
- Delivery & Resource Management: Partner with Director and Analytics Manager on commitments, progress monitoring, and cross-team collaboration.
- Roadmap Execution: Prioritize F&BO Analytics & AI Roadmap; balance short-term needs with long-term capabilities; partner with Enterprise Transformation Office.
- Operating Model & Change: Support OCM, drive AI adoption via communication and enablement; reinforce processes and governance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present briefings on status, risks, and outcomes; communicate complex insights clearly to drive decisions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in quantitative field + 5+ years experience
- Team/project management experience
- Proficiency in Python/R and libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
Preferred Qualifications
- Leidos financial data knowledge
- AWS SageMaker/Azure ML
- Tableau/Power BI
- Generative AI/LLMs
