Leidos is seeking a dynamic Data Scientist with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our National Security Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) in McLean, VA. Be at the forefront of Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Analytical Methods, SIGINT, and Cryptographic Key Management. Make a real impact on critical national security projects with a fast-paced, innovative data science team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop statistical and machine learning models, apply NLP, and create automated solutions for complex challenges.
- Build and run advanced SQL queries across databases using APIs.
- Conduct web scraping and handle unstructured data processing.
- Use automation and ML to manage data, predict outcomes, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Master emerging technologies like AWS and Git.
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- BS + 8-12 years, MS + 6-10 years, or Doctorate in relevant field.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, relational databases, and APIs.
- Proven experience in supervised/unsupervised ML, NLP (spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow).
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, predictive modeling, data architecture.
- Skilled in data visualization with Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib.
