Leidos Digital Modernization sector seeks talented Defensive Cyber Operations Analysts for our Washington, DC team supporting 24x7 mission-critical protection of federal networked systems from cyber threats. We hire continuously—our recruiting team contacts qualified applicants as positions open.

Role Overview

This primarily on-site role features 4x10 or 5x8 static shifts (Days, Swings, Mids) with up to 20-25% telework. Shift flexibility is essential to meet staffing needs; new hires start with 4-6 weeks daytime onboarding/training. Influence solutions, mentor peers, and brief leadership in a high-stakes environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Detect, correlate, and characterize network anomalies indicative of threats.
  • Monitor tools, investigate alerts, and recommend mitigations.
  • Execute SOPs with precision for checks and documentation.
  • Guide solution design and review peer work for accuracy.
  • Deliver senior-level briefings and maintain detailed ticketing records.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and customer suitability pass.
  • Bachelor's + 4 years or equivalent experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II (Sec+ CE+), CSSP Analyst/Infrastructure Support certs (obtainable in 180 days).
  • Strong networking knowledge, packet capture experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CND/SOC experience, familiarity with kill chain/ATT&CK.
  • Intrusion detection monitoring and response documentation.
