Key Responsibilities

  • Balance technical risk with cost and schedule for flawless execution.
  • Oversee mechanical systems for Technical Data Package (TDP) compliance.
  • Act as technical authority, approving milestones at major reviews.
  • Lead design, analysis, verification, and operations processes.
  • Mentor engineers, plan resources, and represent Leidos with stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited) + 12 years experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Expertise in TDP, GD&T, Creo, missile structures, environmental testing, ASME standards.
  • Proven hardware team leadership, business development support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project/people management, proposal writing, systems engineering.
  • Test planning, CONOPs for hardware integration.
  • Missile structural design/test experience.

  • Serve as technical authority for mechanical systems baseline
  • Assess and approve technical completion at major program reviews

  • Represent Leidos with customers and partners
  • Plan mechanical engineering resources and develop staff
