Join Leidos as a DevOps Engineer in Chantilly, VA

GEOAxIS, powered by Leidos, seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer to drive technical execution, innovation, and modernization for our Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) system. Serving NGA GEOINT content access across security domains, GEOAxIS ensures highly available services under the GxNext contract (2021-2031).

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system/operational incidents with root cause analysis.
  • Monitor system performance, implement corrections, and assist Tier 2 support.
  • Coordinate with mission partners, applications, and external entities on incidents.
  • Analyze incident trends, propose mitigations, and enhance operational stability.
  • Support deployments with Ops Tech Lead, Development Lead, and ISP teams.
  • Provide off-hour support for critical issues.

Required Qualifications

  • BS + 4 years or Masters + 2 years relevant experience.
  • Active TS/SCI; Polygraph post-hire.
  • Expertise in Oracle IdAM, Apache Webgates, CA API Gateway.
  • Scripting in Linux (Shell/Bash); experience in Bash/Python/Java/NodeJS.
  • COTS integration and custom development.
  • DMV local; 4 days/week onsite in Chantilly (occasional Reston/Springfield).
  • US Citizen; Security+ within 60 days.

Preferred Skills

  • Kubernetes (Rancher RKE2/Openshift), containers, containerization.
  • DevOps tools: Ansible, ArgoCD, Gitlab, Nexus3.
  • Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps, CKA/CKAD.
  • Modern auth: SAML, OAuth2, OIDC.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system/operational incidents
  • Perform root cause analysis for operational incidents
  • Analyze system performance and implement corrective actions
  • Assist Tier 2 with complex system and end-user issues
  • Coordinate with mission partners on enterprise incidents
  • Collect data, analyze trends, and suggest mitigations
  • Collaborate with Ops Tech Lead and Development Lead on enhancements
  • Support deployment and ISP teams for baseline deployments
  • Provide off-hour support for high-priority incidents
