DevOps Engineer (SME) - Make an Impact at Leidos

Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer (SME) to join our Intel Security Sector's Analysis Solutions Business Area in Bethesda, MD. Our team leads in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Analytical Methods, SIGINT, and Cryptographic Key Management. Primary Responsibilities

  • Support software deployments, AWS cloud infrastructure, and production availability.
  • Manage and maintain full DevOps environment components.
  • Define and implement enterprise CI/CD processes and best practices.
  • Develop automation scripts for AWS deployments and operations.
  • Integrate development teams' products into DevOps pipelines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree + 15 years experience (or equivalent).
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance (required).
  • Proven experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, or Katalon Studio setup and troubleshooting.
  • Software development team support experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Associate/Professional certifications.
  • Container experience (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/ECR).
  • Scripting in Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, Unix shell.
  • Configuration management with Ansible or Puppet.

  • Container orchestration with Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR (preferred) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Support software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and production system availability
  • Manage, build, configure, administer, and maintain DevOps environment components
  • Define enterprise CI/CD processes and best practices
  • Codify DevOps best practices across the enterprise
  • Develop and maintain scripts for AWS cloud tool deployment and automation
  • Script and maintain build environments
  • Integrate project team products into the DevOps environment
