Earth Station Technician - Pituffik Space Base, Greenland

Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver 24/7 shift coverage, responding rapidly to customer needs.
- Monitor signal performance, diagnose issues via ping/traceroute, and restore services.
- Perform hands-on maintenance on RF equipment, high-voltage SSPAs, LNAs, antennas, and fiber optics.
- Troubleshoot with customers and test gear like Tektronix Oscilloscopes and Anritsu Spectrum Analyzers.
- Manage equipment shipping, inventories, and vendor scheduling.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma + 2-4 years experience in digital comms, RF/satcom hardware, fiber optics.
- Active DoD Secret clearance; US Citizen with valid unrestricted US Passport and driver's license.
- Physically fit: lift 51 lbs solo/75 lbs assisted; climb structures; work high voltage.
- Shift work readiness and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's in Communication Engineering Technology.
- 5+ years satcom experience, C-band systems, IP networking.
- Expertise in Power Amplifiers, modems, T-1/T-3 circuits, and advanced test equipment.

- Perform preventive/corrective maintenance on satcom equipment including high voltage systems
- Conduct IP diagnostics and troubleshoot circuits with customers
- Install/test new earth station equipment and manage inventories
- Provide 24/7 shift coverage at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland
- Interface with US Government customers and schedule vendor access
- Report trouble resolution status to Network Monitoring Center
