Elasticsearch Systems Engineer (SME) - Leidos Intel Security Sector

Leidos seeks a proven Elasticsearch Systems Engineer SME to join our Analysis Solutions Business Area, driving innovation in Security Engineering, CNO, SIGINT, and Cryptographic Key Management. Support a large-scale enterprise Elasticsearch deployment in a fast-paced Agile DevSecOps environment across AWS cloud and on-prem systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions for national security missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high-availability Elasticsearch clusters spanning multiple AWS availability zones.
• Monitor and ensure clusters operate under optimal conditions with proactive troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and tune configurations for indexing, search, query performance, security, and administration.
• Uphold infrastructure performance, data integrity, and timely cluster upgrades aligned with application needs.
• Partner with architecture, engineering, development, and operations for production stability and scalability.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Elasticsearch administration in enterprise systems.
• Proven experience integrating Elasticsearch in operational environments.
• Agile development tempo expertise.
• Commercial cloud deployment experience (AWS preferred).
• Masters +15 years or PhD +13 years relevant experience (substitutable).
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain experience with customer-specific systems and development policies.
• Elasticsearch-related certifications.
