Electric Distribution Project Manager - Leidos Power Delivery Solutions

Join Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions Division in Sacramento, CA, managing electric distribution projects for utilities. This role offers remote capabilities with required local/regional travel to client sites—candidates must reside in or near greater Sacramento (no relocation assistance).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineering design for OH/UG/URD infrastructure projects for public/investor-owned utilities.
  • Oversee scope, schedule, budget, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Drive deliverables via coordination with engineering leads and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Implement recovery plans, ensure contract compliance, and maintain quality processes.
  • Act as primary client interface for progress, risks, costs, and issue resolution.
  • Manage invoicing, accruals, AR, bids, RFPs, and business development opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or related + 3+ years PM experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, P6, Workfront; advanced Excel.
  • Proven project financials, scopes, schedules management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (or obtain within 1 year).
  • Utility experience; Fixed Price/T&M contracts.
  • Team-based consulting success.

  • Handle financials: invoicing, accruals, accounts receivable, cost estimates
  • Ensure contract compliance, quality control, safety, and client satisfaction
  • Serve as primary client interface for issue resolution, progress tracking, and risk reporting
  • Support bid preparation, RFP responses, and business development
  • Track KPIs and provide analysis to execution teams
