Leidos, a leader in defense and technology solutions, seeks an experienced Electrician to support critical infrastructure in Springfield, VA. In this vital role, you'll construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced electrical systems for high-stakes government projects. Work with cutting-edge equipment like large PDUs, DC rectifiers, and raised flooring systems while ensuring mission-critical uptime.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical components such as switch boxes, plugs, sockets, fuses, and extension cords.
  • Precisely cut, bend, couple, and strap conduit; measure wire and conduit to exact lengths.
  • Disassemble motors, generators, and equipment for repair preparation.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions, inspect circuits for shielding/grounding, and test for safety/efficiency.
  • Utilize blueprints, drawings, and schematics with hand tools and voltage/amperage devices.
  • Handle high-voltage systems, PDUs, rectifiers, and flooring installations.
  • Lead small projects: estimate materials, coordinate teams, deliver on time.
  • Maintain strict EHS compliance in all operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • 3-5 years electrical experience; obtain VA Electrician’s License within 1 year.
  • Team-oriented; skilled in electrical work, high-lift ops, tools.
  • Strong EHS knowledge; excellent customer service; lift 35 lbs; ladder work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VA Master/Journeyman license; blueprint interpretation; project leadership.
  • Fiber optic skills; welding cert; OSHA 10/30; public sector experience.
  • Superior communication, organization, multitasking.

  • Work with PDUs, DC rectifiers, raised flooring systems
