Job Description

Electronics Technologist – Drive Maritime Innovation at Leidos

Leidos is seeking a skilled Electronics Technologist to join our Maritime Systems Division (MSD) in Lynnwood, WA. Dive into cutting-edge engineering within the Maritime System Solutions (MSS) Portfolio, advancing underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions critical to U.S. defense missions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide expert assembly, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of dynamic electronic systems for Navy applications.
  • Drive technical innovation and product improvements through advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure complete reliability for critical Navy systems during deployment.
  • Design and build custom harnesses and circuitry for fixturing and deliverables.
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering teams across the full product lifecycle, from prototype to production.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 7+ years of prior related experience.
  • 4+ years of J-STD-001 soldering experience with certification (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years working with subsea maritime systems or integrated electro-mechanical systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship and active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fiber optic termination experience.
  • Hands-on work with UUVs, deployed subsea systems, and underwater payloads.
  • Proven track record in product manufacturing and design-to-production transitions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality engineering processes.
  • Experience in diverse R&D and Lean Manufacturing environments.
