Join Leidos as Engineering Planner (Noise Compliant Specialist) in Fort Worth, TX

Leidos' National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program seeks a skilled Engineering Planner to support FAA Central Service Center Operations. Deliver exceptional customer service through expert communication on complex, controversial topics including Congressional correspondence, Administrator hotlines, Safety hotlines, VIP Briefing Papers, and FOIA requests.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Author and edit high-stakes communications for diverse audiences: FAA Headquarters, field offices, public forums, NAS users.
  • Interpret FAA orders, laws, regulations, policies, and SOPs to draft thorough responses.
  • Collaborate with FAA Lines of Business for noise complaint analysis and timely resolutions.
  • Manage strict deadlines, coordinating signatory/endorsement processes across stakeholders.
  • Conduct research, forward inquiries to relevant facilities, and ensure follow-up.
  • Produce clear, concise, accurate materials: correspondences, memos, reports, Congressional responses.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree + 10 years relevant experience.
  • 10+ years FAA Air Traffic Controller experience (Enroute Facility or Level 10+ Terminal).
  • 5 years FAA Management/Staff experience in similar facilities.
  • Proven research, evaluation, briefing paper, and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/KSN).

  • Experience across multiple FAA Lines of Business.
