Leidos is seeking a dynamic Environmental Technician to support critical NASA Glenn Research Center programs in storm water, waste water, and above-ground storage tanks. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct storm water facility inspections, visual sampling, outfall screening, and illicit discharge tracking.
- Perform NPDES and water sampling, calibrate/maintain testing equipment, and support audits.
- Execute annual above-ground storage tank inspections, review records, and update Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasure Plans.
- Deliver storm water education to Center employees and lead pollution prevention inspections.
- Assist Waste Management team with site inspections, waste characterization, shipping/disposal records, reporting, and spill response/remediation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate's Degree plus college hours toward environmental science or related bachelor's.
- US Citizenship/Permanent Residency and ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) for reports and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills for multi-disciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to work in variable field conditions and evaluate problems independently.
- Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
