Join Leidos as an EOSH Specialist at FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center

Leidos seeks a Senior EOSH Specialist for the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team at the FAA’s William J Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This on-site position supports the FAA’s EOSH Section (ANG-E372), ensuring top-tier occupational safety, health, and environmental compliance in a high-stakes aviation environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety/health programs compliant with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA, NEC, and NFPA.
  • Conduct thorough inspections/audits of workplaces, equipment, and processes to identify hazards like chemical exposure, noise, ergonomics, and physical risks.
  • Observe operations to update job hazard analyses (JHAs) and create new ones as required.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to pinpoint root causes and implement preventive strategies.
  • Manage OSHA Hazard Communication standards and deliver targeted safety training to personnel.
  • Review/revise emergency response plans, lead evacuation drills, and track tasks via Archibus system.
  • Perform indoor air quality investigations and assess environmental impacts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety/Health or related field (min. 24 semester hours in safety, industrial hygiene, toxicology, etc.).
  • 3+ years documented experience in OSHA compliance, air quality probes, JHA completion, safety inspections, and EOSH training.
  • Preferred: OSHA 6005 Collateral Duty Course, OSHA 30-Hour (Construction/General Industry), AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector certifications.
  • Must obtain/maintain FAA Public Trust Suitability.
