Leidos is seeking an experienced Events and Multimedia Specialist to join our team at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center's Saxton Transportation Operations Laboratory (STOL) in McLean, Virginia. This cutting-edge facility supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) in validating innovative transportation technologies through groundbreaking research.

Key Responsibilities

Events Execution

  • Plan and execute conferences, workshops, tours: develop schedules, materials, manage budgets, procurement, and vendors.
  • Create compelling technical summaries and promotional content for social media, newsletters, and presentations.
  • Establish processes to enhance event efficiency.

Video and Multimedia Support

  • Lead full-cycle photo/video production: scripting, capturing, editing with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator.
  • Produce graphics and videos for outreach, ensuring Section 508 compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Oversee communications and outreach for ITS JPO, HASS COE, and FHWA projects.
  • Build stakeholder trust through effective processes and clear communication.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field + 5+ years experience; 4+ years in events, digital marketing, multimedia.
  • Adobe Creative Suite expertise; strong communication skills for technical content.
  • U.S. work authorization and Public Trust eligibility required.

  • Demonstrated experience planning, executing, and editing multimedia video content with Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (experience)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences (experience)
  • U.S. work authorization and eligibility for Public Trust Clearance (3 consecutive years in U.S. within last 5 years) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person conferences, workshops, tours, including schedules, materials, procurement, budgets, and vendor coordination
  • Develop summaries, briefings, and promotional content for events targeting industry experts and public audiences
  • Handle pre-production, production, and post-production of photos/videos for events, demos, and tours using Adobe tools
  • Edit multimedia for presentations, social media, newsletters ensuring branding and Section 508 compliance
  • Manage communications, outreach, publications, and stakeholder engagement for ITS JPO, HASS COE, and FHWA projects
