Key Responsibilities
- Translation: Accurately translate digital/hard copy materials between Farsi and English, capturing nuances, cultural/geopolitical references, and subject-specific terminology.
- Interpretation: Deliver consecutive interpretation (occasional simultaneous), ensuring fidelity across dialects and contexts.
- Transcription: Transcribe audio/internet content into precise English reports, handling dialectical variations.
- Gisting/Summarization: Extract and prioritize critical information from vast datasets using reference materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (8-12 years experience) or Master’s (6-10 years) in relevant field; experience may substitute.
- 4+ years recent professional translation/interpretation.
- Intelligence Community/Operations background.
- Senior-level Farsi proficiency via Leidos test.
- Eligibility for TS/SCI with polygraph (no clearance needed to apply).
- Strong English/Farsi communication; MS Office proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Translation/interpretation degree; HLT experience.
- Contingency operations, IC/military/law enforcement familiarity.
- Multi-language proficiency; briefing skills.
