Leidos, a global leader in security and detection solutions, seeks a skilled Field Service Engineer for our Heathrow operations in London, UK. Under limited supervision, you'll independently or with the site team handle complex x-ray and CT-based security systems at airport customer sites. Deliver unparalleled customer satisfaction through best-in-class installation, maintenance, and service while building strong regional relationships.

Essential Duties

Technical Expertise

  • Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair highly complex x-ray/CT security systems.

Time Management

  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance (PM) and meet corrective maintenance (CM) SLAs/KPIs.

Data & Reporting

  • Accurately manage Salesforce Lightning work orders, reports, and compliance data.
  • Deliver professional, sensitive maintenance reports to customers.

Communication & Teamwork

  • Excel in customer interactions, presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Thrive in a small, high-performing team environment.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Adhere to policies, use PPE, handle tools/parts up to 16kg (heavier with aids), and maintain situational awareness during lone work. Uphold equality policies and Leidos values with pride.

Requirements & Experience

Bring field service expertise in aviation security, x-ray/CT tech, digital/analog circuitry, mechanical systems, IT/PLC diagnostics, and software upgrades. Proficiency in Linux, test equipment, Microsoft 365 required. Prior experience in security systems, aviation, or automation preferred. Work independently under pressure in a global, fast-paced setting.

Estimated salary: £45,000-£60,000 GBP/year based on London market rates for specialized field engineers. Full-time, mid-level role with growth opportunities at Leidos.

Required Qualifications

  • Solid field service experience in security/detection systems, aviation, automation, or global environments (experience)
  • Strong technical knowledge of x-ray, CT technologies, and related products (experience)
  • Team player able to prioritize, work under pressure independently in fast-paced settings (experience)
  • Ability to lift 16kg unaided, use PPE, adhere to health & safety protocols including lone working (experience)
  • Understanding of company equality policy, values, and business ethics (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical support: install, troubleshoot, maintain, service complex x-ray/CT security systems at customer sites
  • Coordinate planning and delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance per KPIs and SLAs
  • Manage accurate work orders, reporting, and data in Salesforce Lightning for business intelligence and compliance
  • Build and maintain relationships with airports, customers, and internal stakeholders for project success
  • Ensure professional customer communications, promote safety protocols, and uphold company values
