Leidos is hiring a Field Services Hawaii Site Lead in Honolulu, HI, to deliver critical IT support for the Navy's NGEN-SMIT program, the largest IT services contract unifying shore-based networks, cybersecurity, and data transport for enhanced capabilities and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead network operations at high-profile sites including Naval Base Pearl Harbor, CPF Makalapa, and Camp Smith, providing first-response for VIPs, Flag Officers, and mission-critical operations.
- Troubleshoot outages, configure VLANs, deploy routers/switches/servers, and perform port activations/deactivations for emergent MAC moves.
- Monitor equipment, pull switch logs and capacity reports, and escalate complex issues to SMIT Network Operations.
- Travel on-island daily, splitting time across sites with possible after-hours support for rapid remediation.
Physical and Environmental Demands
Role requires lifting 50 lbs up to 100 feet, working in confined spaces like comms closets, noisy data centers, climbing ladders, using hand tools for rack mounting, color vision for cabling/schematics, and driving to sites. Stand/sit for 8+ hours with 20/20 correctable vision.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance.
- BS + 4 years or HS + 8 years in network engineering/operations.
- DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+ or higher) and CCNA.
- Proven expertise in enterprise IT and network ops.
