Join Leidos as an FPGA Engineer Intern

The Leidos Innovation Center in Arlington, VA, is recruiting a talented FPGA Engineer Intern for our Summer 2026 program. Primary Responsibilities

• Support analysis, design, implementation, simulation, and testing of FPGA logic and algorithms using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Generate design constraints, verify them, and analyze synthesis/timing performance reports.
• Leverage familiarity with signal processing (FFTs, channelizers, digital filters).
• Compile and complete technical documentation.
• Assist with technical support, field planning, and occasional on-site support.

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience with Linux and at least one FPGA/SoC toolset like AMD/Xilinx Vivado.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing Master’s degree.
• Lab equipment knowledge and signal processing/communications experience.
• Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, Python, SystemC.
• Linux/PetaLinux development and schematic analysis for high-speed circuitry.
• Strong communication skills.
