Join Leidos as an HPC Workload/Job Scheduler Administrator

Leidos seeks an Intermediate to Advanced HPC Workload/Job Scheduler Administrator for the Navy DSRC team at Stennis Space Center, MS, supporting the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). This on-site role demands expertise in managing high-performance computing environments, ensuring seamless workload management, and delivering Tier III support. Thrive in a dynamic DoD setting where flexibility, rapid learning, and innovative problem-solving drive mission success. Occasional off-hours work is required for updates and restorations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier III HPC support, including installation, testing, and administration of batch job schedulers like Altair PBS Pro and Slurm.
• Comply with customer requirements for workload validation, scheduling policies, and post-run accounting.
• Forecast resource needs, optimize load balancing, and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Develop and monitor resource allocation policies for HPC clusters.
• Maintain job accounting software, automation scripts, and reporting tools for HPCMP.
• Provide 24/7 emergency response and field user/management issues.
• Integrate HPC systems, software, and applications to meet DoD scientists' computational demands.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science/related field + 8+ years in complex IT, or Master’s + 6+ years (experience substitutes for degree).
• Top Secret clearance required.
• IAT Level II cert (RHCSA or higher, CompTIA Linux+/Security+).
• Proficiency in RHEL, CentOS, or Linux variants.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on with PBS, Slurm, or IBM Spectrum LSF schedulers.
