Join Leidos as a Human Language Technology Developer
Leidos seeks an innovative Human Language Technology (HLT) Developer for our cutting-edge language services program in Reston, VA. This immediate-fill role demands expertise in AI, machine learning, and linguistics to drive HLT solutions aligned with intelligence community (IC) missions. Perform horizontal integration, lead initiatives to refresh HLT tools, and ensure seamless deployment across CONUS/OCONUS. Position contingent on customer approval.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop applications/APIs to enhance workflows and integrate HLT resources.
- Design custom solutions for complex data types.
- Research, develop, and integrate advanced HLT capabilities using PyTorch/TensorFlow.
- Lead cross-functional teams in AI/HLT development.
- Analyze processing needs for cost-efficient innovations.
- Prototype HLT systems based on operational priorities.
- Evaluate solutions against mission workflows with actionable insights.
- Communicate technical concepts via briefings/white papers.
- Lead projects solving complex HLT challenges.
- Mentor staff and integrate Leidos technologies.
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- BS + 8 years, MS + 6 years, or PhD in relevant field.
- 3+ years IC translation SOPs.
- Recent ML model training/deployment.
- Expertise in Python/Java/C++, NLTK/SpaCy, deep learning.
- Strong linguistics foundation and cloud experience (Docker/K8s).
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Foreign language proficiency.
- Greenfield dev, API building, MT/OCR training.
- IC experience, JavaScript/JSON familiarity.
