Key Responsibilities
- Conflate and analyze GNDB feature data using GNPS, imagery, charts, and geospatial tools alongside IC experts.
- Apply BGN policies to address queries on romanization, names usage, and product descriptors.
- Maintain GNDB through accurate data entry, batching, and updates.
- Geo-reference sources like hydrographic/topographic maps and imagery, verifying spellings and metadata.
- Leverage ArcGIS Pro, QGIS for research across native, historic, and secondary maps plus GEOINT sources.
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance REQUIRED; POLY willingness essential.
- HS + 10 years experience (or equivalent).
- ILR 2+ reading in Indonesian.
- Advanced ArcGIS Pro/QGIS proficiency.
- Deep knowledge of toponymy methodologies and policies (BGN, DoS, NATO).

Responsibilities
- Analyze and conflate feature data in GNDB with IC experts using GNPS, charts, imagery, and geospatial tools
- Respond to queries on names, romanization, and descriptive info per BGN policies
- Accurately enter, maintain, and batch updates to GNDB
- Research, order, scan, geo-reference hydrographic/topographic sources, verify metadata, and conflate with GNDB
- Interpret BGN, DoS, NATO policies; provide foreign translation support
- Conduct research using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, office software, internet, native/secondary/historic maps, imagery
- Recommend native maps/data for acquisition; create shapefiles, geodatabases
- Ensure ITAR exemption for partner interactions
