Infrastructure Engineer - Leidos Farnborough
Join Leidos, a global science and technology leader with 30+ years delivering mission-critical government systems. Due to strategic wins, we're expanding our UK technical team at Farnborough Aerospace Centre. This permanent, full-time onsite role supports defence IT infrastructure for UK and partner nations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy modern, scalable infrastructure with VMware (ESXi, vSphere, NSX, vCLM), Microsoft (AD, DNS, GPO, WSUS), Linux RHEL, Dell servers, PowerVault, QNAP, and Nexor data diodes.
- Handle project delivery, transitions, upgrades, and BAU operations in secure environments.
- Drive Secure by Design principles, automation, and service improvements.
- Engage stakeholders, document processes (LLDs, wikis), and meet SLAs/KPIs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- DV clearance essential.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure tech: servers, networks, firewalls, SAN, replication.
- Self-motivated with analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in defence/government secure ops preferred.

- Proven ability to work autonomously in defence/government projects (experience)
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement scalable infrastructure using automation and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with customers on infrastructure management, assurance, and integration
- Support development, transition, and in-service operations including upgrades
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to service improvements
- Ensure compliance with Secure by Design, project milestones, KPIs, and SLAs
