Join Leidos as an Installation Technician – Remote with 100% Travel

Leidos Homeland Group/Aviation, Borders, and Security division seeks a skilled Installation Technician for commercial/international security and computer network systems. Work remotely from anywhere in the Continental U.S. (CONUS), traveling 100% weekly to install and upgrade Explosive Detection Systems, Checkpoint Security, and networked screening systems at global federal and commercial sites like airports, correctional facilities, and cruise ships.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and commission conveyor systems, electrical connections on industrial equipment.
• Repair, modify equipment in the field; deliver customer training.
• Provide maintenance and technical support on integrated systems, software at customer/factory sites.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions efficiently, even with minimal documentation.
• Meet weekly installation goals, document all work timely.
• Maintain tools/test equipment; assess performance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure excellent customer communication; collaborate with diverse teams.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen; HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years field/installation service experience.
• Pass background, drug, credit checks; valid U.S. Driver’s License with Real ID.
• Physically fit: lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders/stairs, navigate narrow spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS Office/SalesForce competency; aptitude for specialized software.
• X-ray/CT tech knowledge; network/PLC experience.
• Field electrical assembly; software integration with electro-mechanical equipment.
• Hands-on project management.

Work Environment & Travel

Expect dynamic off-site work at high-security locations. 100% travel: primarily domestic weekly trips, occasional international/up to 3-week assignments. Flexible days/nights; most weekends home. Demonstrate ethics, integrity, teamwork.
