Join Leidos' Surface Transportation Group operating FHWA’s Saxton Transportation Operations Laboratory (STOL), a USDOT research lab advancing transportation operations, safety, mobility, and environmental impacts. Focus on connected and automated vehicle (CAV) technologies, V2X deployments, advanced traffic management, and technology transfer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ITS/CAV projects ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversee integration of V2X, traffic management, and automation technologies.
- Execute innovative solutions with ITS, CDA, C-V2X, and CAV applications using cutting-edge algorithms and simulations.
- Liaise with clients including DOTs, FHWA, MPOs, and industry partners.
- Develop strategies for communications, outreach, and technology transfer.
- Ensure adherence to ITS standards (NTCIP, SAE J2735, IEEE 1609) and cybersecurity practices.
- Deliver technical reports, presentations, and support business development.
- Manage risks, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement across public, private, and research sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Transportation, or related field.
- 7+ years in ITS/transportation technology; 3+ years in project management/technical leadership.
- Proven experience with multi-stakeholder projects and DOT/FHWA/USDOT collaboration.
