Join Leidos as a Junior Functional Analyst

Leidos Homeland team is seeking a highly motivated Junior Functional Analyst to support the Airports, Borders and Security FBI portfolio in Washington, DC. This role is your gateway to bridging business needs with cutting-edge IT solutions on a future contract pending award. As a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, you'll translate complex requirements into actionable functional specifications. Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, workflows, and user stories.
  • Support the design and configuration of software solutions in partnership with technical teams.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), including preparation of test cases and scenarios.
  • Document system processes, workflows, and data models.
  • Provide support during system implementation and post-deployment.
  • Identify and assist in resolving process or system issues based on user feedback.
  • Prepare functional documentation, business cases, and training materials.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, functional analysis, or systems implementation.
  • Basic understanding of SDLC and requirement-gathering methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in IT-related field.
  • Familiarity with BPMN, database concepts, and agile methodologies.

Key Requirements

You must be a US citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance. Pay range: $50,700 - $91,650 (factors include experience, skills, and market alignment).
