Leidos' Platform Integration Facility in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a dynamic Lead Quality Engineer to drive excellence in our Defense Systems Sector. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and train quality engineers/inspectors supporting manufacturing floor operations.
  • Manage assembly, testing, non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee supplier activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Interact with all management levels, departments, and customers.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for third-party reviews.
  • Develop work instructions, QMS documentation, and AS9102 First Article Inspections.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8-12 years in ISO9001/AS9100 or equivalent DOD/Aerospace/Automotive quality control.
  • Expertise in non-conforming materials, failure analysis, root cause, and corrective actions.
  • Experience writing procedures and interpreting contract quality clauses.
  • Proven team communication and collaboration in multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Knowledge of complex aerospace hardware manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (experience considered in lieu).
  • 8+ years quality experience with 2+ years mentoring staff.
  • Electrical/mechanical quality and radar system experience.
