Deliver innovative high-voltage utility substation solutions for clients nationwide, including investor-owned utilities, municipals, and cooperatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HV/MV substation designs: basic layouts, electrical arrangements, one-line/three-line drawings, plan-sections, grounding, and AC/DC systems.
  • Own projects end-to-end: technical design, staffing, schedules, budgets.
  • Excel in client interactions and cross-discipline collaboration (Substation, Telecom, Civil/Structural).
  • Mentor and grow engineering teams while driving quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes, estimates, and QC reviews for medium/large projects.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering; 8+ years substation design experience.
  • Preferred: P.E. license, Master’s degree, project team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation design including layouts, one-line, three-line drawings, grounding, and AC/DC systems
  • Manage full project lifecycle including technical design, staffing, schedule, and budget
  • Interact with internal teams and clients to meet project objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, designers, and drafters
  • Develop and review project proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates
  • Perform Quality Control reviews on medium to large substation projects
  • Continually improve team quality and efficiency
