Lead Time & Labor Specialist at Leidos

Join Leidos' Payroll Services team as a customer service-oriented Lead Time & Labor Specialist, driving time/labor processing, compliance, and optimization in our Domestic Payroll organization. This advanced individual contributor role handles complex timesheet administration, escalated issue resolution, and team-level improvements while backing the Time, Labor, and Compliance Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute advanced timesheet/Costpoint reviews for company/federal compliance.
  • Lead escalation resolution for complex labor issues, documenting controls.
  • Support compliance, audits, reporting, and process enhancements with recommendations.
  • Drive projects on system enhancements and automation.
  • Mentor team, provide training, and delegate workloads.
  • Process large-scale timecard adjustments.
  • Partner with HR/Payroll/Compliance for accuracy and policy adherence.
  • Analyze reports to spot trends and optimizations.
  • Document procedures, test changes, ensure standards.
  • Act as manager backup during peaks/absences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's + 2+ years or HS Diploma + 6+ years timesheet experience.
  • Government contracting background.
  • Deltek Costpoint expertise.
  • Federal labor laws knowledge.
  • Root cause analysis and improvement skills.
  • Analytical/problem-solving with detail focus.
  • Strong communication.
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Multi-tasking under deadlines; overtime capable.
  • US citizenship; clearance eligible.

Desired Qualifications

  • Reporting tools: Toad, OAC, Cognos.
  • System testing/automation experience.
  • Process improvement leadership.
