Join Leidos as a Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) Instructor Operator

Leidos' Integrated Airborne Solutions (IAS) Division seeks a skilled Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) Instructor Operator for the Army National Guard (ANG) Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS) program at McEntire Joint National Guard Base in Columbia, SC. As the prime contractor, Leidos delivers flight training, simulation, classroom instruction, One Army School System (OASS) integration, and Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) maintenance.

Key Role in Army National Guard Training

Support regional CONUS simulators including UH-72A CPT/SFTS, ABHFS, UH-60A/L SFTS, CH-47F TFPS, and UH-60V/M BAT. Instruct on base/mission tasks per aircraft training manuals (ATM), APART evaluations, mission scenarios, instrument training, crew coordination, and collective training.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate simulators for 4-5 two-hour periods daily (0700-1900, flexible), 4 days/week plus weekends.
  • Present qualifications for standardization check-ride by Government Pilot.
  • Document usage on DA Form 2408-12, report weekly utilization to QAR.
  • Manage RFMSS scheduling as Fire Desk Operator.
  • Maintain Instructor/Operator Manual (IOM) and reference data.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s with 8-12 years or Master’s with 6-10 years relevant experience.
  • Instructor Pilot qualification in respective simulator and Instrument Flight Examiner.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AR 95-1 and aircraft ATM (experience)
  • Experience with UH-60, UH-72A, CH-47F simulators (experience)
  • Ability to pass standardization check-ride (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Operate simulator to train crewmember tasks per ATM Chapter Four
  • Provide instruction on base/mission tasks, instrument training, crew coordination
  • Support 4-5 two-hour periods daily, 0700-1900, 4 days/week plus weekends
  • Document pilot usage on DA Form 2408-12 and report device utilization weekly
  • Act as RFMSS Fire Desk Operator for scheduling and closeouts
  • Maintain simulator documentation and identify IOM updates
  • Conduct administrative duties and support AARs
