Leidos seeks a talented Machine Learning Signal Processing Engineer to join our high-performing team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Apply your expertise in machine learning and signal processing to state-of-the-art R&D in remote sensing applications including SAR/RF, acoustic, EO/IR, and LIDAR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on research, design, and development of sensor exploitation systems: signal processing, automatic target recognition (ATR), and signature modeling.
  • Collaborate with customers to tackle mission-critical challenges, developing new capabilities and enhancing existing systems.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate algorithms for detection, tracking, data fusion, and classification.
  • Build ATR algorithms using Python, MATLAB, C++, leveraging AI/ML tools like PyTorch and Scikit-Learn.
  • Lead technical tasks, programs, and interact with customers while pursuing growth in emerging technologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (2+ years experience) or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
  • Proficient in Python/C++ for Linux; knowledge of code configuration control.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (Scikit-Learn, PyTorch).
  • Strong communication skills; Active SECRET clearance (TS/SCI eligible); US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ATR algorithm development experience.
  • Work with SAR/SAL data and sensor systems.
  • Computer vision and multi-sensor data fusion expertise.

This role requires ~75% onsite work for collaboration on sensitive projects, with flexible hours and some remote flexibility. Transform data into actionable intelligence at Leidos—outthink, outbuild, and outpace the status quo. Pay Range: $69,550 - $125,725 USD/year.
