Join Leidos: Machine Learning Signal Processing Engineer

Leidos is seeking a talented Machine Learning Signal Processing Engineer to join our high-performing team in Ann Arbor, MI (or Beavercreek, OH). Drive innovation in remote sensing applications including SAR/RF, acoustic, EO/IR, and LIDAR for detection, tracking, data fusion, and classification. Contribute to combat identification (CID) algorithms trained on synthetic data, transforming image and signal data into actionable intelligence for a safer world.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and develop sensor exploitation systems with signal processing, automatic target recognition, and signature modeling.
  • Collaborate with customers to innovate capabilities and enhance existing systems.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate algorithms for real-world challenges.
  • Build ATR algorithms using Python, MATLAB, C++, and cutting-edge AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch.
  • Lead technical tasks, programs, and customer interactions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (2+ years exp.) or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
  • Expertise in Python/C++ for Linux; code configuration control.
  • ML/DL proficiency (Scikit-Learn, PyTorch).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Active SECRET clearance (TS/SCI eligible); US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ATR algorithm development experience.
  • SAR/SAL data and sensor systems.
  • Computer vision and multi-sensor data fusion.
