Leidos is hiring a skilled Malaysian Toponymist/Geospatial Linguist to support critical Intelligence Community missions at our St. Louis, MO site. This role demands precision in analyzing geographic names data for national security applications. Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to obtain POLY are REQUIRED.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and conflate GNDB feature data with IC geographic experts.
- Respond to queries on names, romanization, and product info using GNPS, imagery, and geospatial tools.
- Maintain and update GNDB with accurate data entry for mission-critical reliability.
- Research, geo-reference maps, imagery, and sources; verify spelling and metadata.
- Apply BGN, DoS, NATO policies for standardized names treatment.
- Leverage ArcGIS Pro, QGIS for shapefiles, geodatabases, and data management.
- Recommend and source native maps for production enhancement.
- Provide translation support and ensure ITAR compliance.
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI + POLY willingness.
- HS + 10 years experience (or equivalent).
- ILR 2+ reading in Malaysian.
- Advanced ArcGIS Pro/QGIS proficiency.
- GEOINT sources knowledge and research expertise.

- Research, scan, geo-reference hydrographic/topographic sources and imagery

- Conduct research with ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, office software, and internet sources
- Recommend native maps/data for acquisition
- Provide foreign translation support
- Maintain ITAR exemption for partner interactions
