Leidos Defense Systems Manufacturing is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for our state-of-the-art Colorado Manufacturing Facility (CMF), supporting critical Defense Programs. Work onsite with a collaborative team to deliver innovative solutions for our nation's warfighters. This full-time, mid-level role offers the chance to optimize production processes, ensure quality, and drive efficiency in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw materials into finished products using efficient procedures and MES (Solumina) for tracking and control.
- Maintain mBOMs, generate routings, and manage production flow through MRP systems, including change management.
- Collaborate across engineering, quality, operations, and inventory teams to resolve issues, expedite jobs, and document processes.
- Lead continuous improvement, risk reduction, and ISO9001/AS9100 compliance initiatives.
- Define manufacturing processes for assembly, integration, and testing while coordinating workflows for multiple projects.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Industrial Systems Engineering + 2 years relevant experience.
- Machining experience, GD&T proficiency, and familiarity with MRP/ERP/PLM/MES systems.
- Proven critical thinking in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings with manufacturing/assembly focus.

- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Design Engineers, and Operations for documentation, tooling, and lead times
- Identify risks, execute continuous improvement projects, and manage production flow via MRP
- Resolve production issues like configuration changes, material shortages, and schedule priorities
- Manage ISO9001/AS9100 processes and execute Configuration & Data Management
