Job Description

Maritime Undersea Technology Specialist

Join Leidos' Maritime Systems Division (MSD) in Suitland, MD, as a Maritime Undersea Technology Specialist supporting US Navy Intelligence. Provide expert analysis on undersea systems, including unmanned undersea vehicles (UUVs), manned submersibles, seafloor imaging sensors (acoustic and optical), and undersea navigation/positioning technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform all-source intelligence analysis on existing and emerging maritime undersea capabilities, readiness, and operations.
  • Research domestic and international undersea technologies, attending 3+ conferences annually and delivering detailed trip reports with technical papers and insights.
  • Prepare and brief technical memos, reports, and presentations to senior leaders and customers independently.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on prototype design to full-scale deployment for Navy missions.
  • Engage partners on operational methodologies and industry developments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years as a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) technician.
  • Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred); ability to obtain polygraph.
  • Proven background in foreign maritime analysis and deep sea technology.
  • Exceptional written/oral communication for high-level briefings.
