Material Handler Opportunity at Leidos National Security Group

Join Leidos in supporting critical logistics for the Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) in Newport, RI. As a Material Handler, you'll play a vital role in managing incoming and outgoing materials through hands-on physical tasks in a dynamic defense environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles efficiently to ensure smooth logistics flow.
• Unpack freight and place materials in designated storage locations per warehouse plans.
• Relocate materials using pallet jacks, carts, or other equipment.
• Scrap and cut excess packaging while upholding safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and production floor areas.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Demonstrated experience in warehousing activities.
• Proficiency with standard office equipment including phones, computers, fax, and copiers.
• Physical capability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
• Must possess Interim Secret clearance to start; final Secret required to continue.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interpreting warehouse storage plans.
• Recent hands-on experience as Material Handling Laborer at NATSC Newport or similar.

Compensation and Benefits

This Service Contract Act position offers $18.02/hour with benefits or $22.95/hour without (up to 40 hours/week), equating to approximately $37,481 - $47,756 annually based on full-time hours.
