Job Description

Join Leidos as a Remote Material Planner

Leidos, a leader in digital modernization, seeks a dynamic Material Planner for our Materials Management team. This fully remote role supports material acquisition for high-stakes programs in the Digital Modernization sector. Interface with suppliers, logistics, receiving, and strategic sourcing to drive program success from requirements generation to delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with program teams for streamlined procurement and full-cycle acquisition support.
  • Monitor material flow, maintain reports, and manage production schedules.
  • Coordinate forecasts, priorities, and expediting with leadership.
  • Analyze requirements for optimal strategies, supplier recommendations, and leveraging opportunities.
  • Place purchasing card orders within limits and advise on best sourcing routes.
  • Engage end-to-end supply chain for efficient strategies and communicate with stakeholders to influence solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with <5 years relevant experience.
  • Eligible for Secret clearance minimum.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially intermediate Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Charts).
  • Excellent organization, communication, multitasking, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Buying or Supply Chain Management experience.
  • MRP knowledge.
  • FAR expertise for price/source justifications.
  • PowerBI, CostPoint, or similar systems.

  • Place orders via purchasing cards within spend limits
  • Manage production and delivery schedules
  • Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, logistics, and clients to meet milestones
