Leidos National Security Sector seeks a cleared Mid Cartographic Analyst for our dynamic team supporting critical national security missions in Springfield, Virginia. This second-shift role (1500-2300, Monday-Friday) offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your GIS and cartography expertise in a government-contractor environment focused on Electronic Nautical Chart production and advanced geospatial analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, Production, and Review within a collaborative team setting.
- Conduct cartographic and GIS functions for Digital Nautical Chart production, extracting features from diverse sources like rasterized nautical charts, hydrographic survey data, and ortho-rectified imagery.
- Maintain and update source materials, catalogs, and databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with NGA standards.
- Perform data conversion and migration to support evolving mission requirements and future capabilities.
- Analyze imagery and non-imagery sources for hydrographic products, contributing to developmental assignments.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 points of relevant experience: High School + 5 years geospatial/military experience, or +4 years + GPC Level I/II, or BS + 2 years.
- Proven expertise in geography, cartography, GIS (ArcGIS), shapefiles, geodatabases, digital cartography, image processing, and NGA formats.
- Current TS/SCI clearance; willingness to obtain CI Polygraph required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Nautical Maritime experience.
- Strong independent and team collaboration skills.
