Your Role in the Chinook Program
Join the Intelligence Production Solutions Division (IPSD) to deliver geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities. Provide timely, relevant intelligence to national decision-makers and warfighters through innovative systems engineering.
Primary Work Location & Flexibility
Primary: Gaithersburg, MD. Additional sites: Alexandria, VA; Chantilly, VA; Aurora, CO; St. Louis, MO; Tucson, AZ.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive system architecture, requirements, integration, and configuration management.
- Engineer mission systems across full lifecycle: concept to deployment and sustainment.
- Collaborate for interoperability and mission success.
- Recommend optimal tools and processes.
- Author ICDs, reports, and documentation.
- Lead technical reviews and assessments.
- Analyze and optimize system performance.
Basic Qualifications
- US citizenship (contract required).
- Bachelor’s in Systems Engineering/Computer Science + 4-8 years or Master’s + 2-6 years.
- Expertise in systems engineering, MBSE (Cameo, SysML).
- DoD/IC experience.
- Atlassian, MS Office proficiency.
- Strong communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- SEP, INCOSE, CISSP, Security+.
- GEOINT lifecycle experience.
- AWS/C2S cloud, DevSecOps, Agile/SAFe.
Clearance & Pay
Top Secret/SCI eligible + Polygraph. Pay: $87,100 - $157,450 USD/year.

Responsibilities
- Support system architecture design, requirements development, integration planning, and configuration management
- Provide engineering expertise across full system lifecycle from concept to sustainment
- Collaborate with stakeholders for interoperability, scalability, and mission alignment
- Evaluate and recommend tools, techniques, and processes for system development
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including ICDs and engineering reports
- Participate in technical reviews, readiness assessments, and milestone events
- Conduct system performance analysis and optimization recommendations
