Military and Family Life Counselor - NAS Everett

Leidos seeks licensed behavioral health professionals for our Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team at Naval Air Station Everett, near Seattle, WA. Anticipated start: March 2026. Support U.S. military service members and families with non-medical, preventive counseling amid unique military life challenges like deployments, relocations, and transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver face-to-face individual, couples, and family counseling.
  • Engage in installation activities, providing coaching and modeling behavior techniques.
  • Present at military-connect events to promote positivity and resilience.
  • Assist with transitions like new schools or homes; build rapport at community events.
  • Respond to crises across ships, uneven terrain, and weather-exposed areas; climb ladders in tight ship spaces.

  • Ability to pass NACI background check (experience)
  • Physical ability to traverse uneven terrain and climb ship ladders (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face counseling to service members, spouses, and families
  • Conduct presentations and outreach at military events
  • Observe and coach installation staff on behavior management
  • Respond to emergent situations across indoor/outdoor military locations
  • Report trends and issues to team leads via digital tools
