Leidos seeks licensed behavioral health professionals for our Child and Youth Behavioral Military Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) team supporting Fort Irwin, CA. Make a difference for U.S. military families facing unique challenges of military life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide non-medical, preventive counseling at Child Development Centers (CDCs) for children 0-5 and youth programs.
  • Engage in activities, coach staff/parents, and model behavior management.
  • Present on social-emotional learning and promote creativity.
  • Support family transitions and attend community events.
  • Participate in training and report trends to leadership.

Work Environment

Expect 60% indoor CDC work (including floor-level interaction) and 40% outdoor activities on uneven terrain. Be prepared for emergent responses, travel, and DoD site requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s or higher in Behavioral Health (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
  • Independent license: LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, or Psychologist.
  • U.S. citizen.

  • Ability to work in CDC environments with children 0-18 (experience)
  • Capacity to traverse rugged outdoor terrains and respond to emergent situations (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Observe, engage, and model behavior management for children, staff, and parents
  • Deliver presentations on social skills and emotional development
  • Build rapport with families through events and support transitions like new schools
  • Communicate trends and issues to Team Leads and participate in training
